Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?
No — you can book directly with us. Physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners, meaning you don’t need to see a GP before your appointment.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your initial assessment includes:
A full consultation about your symptoms and goals
A physical assessment
A personalised treatment plan
Hands-on treatment to start your recovery straight away
You’ll also receive advice and exercises to continue progress between sessions.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated — such as shorts for knee or hip issues, or a vest/loose top for shoulder or neck assessments.
Do you bring all the equipment?
Yes — we bring everything needed for assessment and treatment, including a portable treatment couch, equipment, and clinical supplies.
How much space do I need at home?
A small open area is enough. Most living rooms have plenty of space for a treatment table and movement assessment.
How do payments work?
Payment is taken at the end of your appointment via card or bank transfer.
You’ll receive confirmation and a receipt if needed for insurance or workplace claims.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Yes — we offer flexible appointments, including evenings and weekends, to fit around your schedule.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St. Helens, Wirral, and Halton.
If you’re unsure whether you're within the travel radius, just ask — we’re usually able to accommodate.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 2 days before the beginning of your appointment.
At our discretion we may accept cancellations closer to the appointment time, please get in touch to discuss further.
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee, as the appointment slot cannot always be filled at short notice.
Do you treat chronic pain or long-term conditions?
Absolutely. We regularly work with clients experiencing long-term pain, arthritis, recurring injuries, and age-related mobility issues.
Do you offer massage without physiotherapy?
Yes — sports massage and therapeutic massage can be booked as standalone treatments.
You do not need an injury to benefit from massage services.
Can you treat me if I’ve recently had surgery?
Yes — we provide post-operative rehabilitation, helping you regain strength, mobility, and confidence after procedures such as joint replacements and ligament repairs. We recommend always checking with your surgeon before engaging with physiotherapy. We may need to contact them ourselves to get their recommendations, so it is always helpful to know the name and contact details of your surgeon.
Will treatment be painful?
Treatments are designed to reduce pain, not cause it.
Some hands-on techniques may feel intense, but they should never feel unbearable. You’re always in control — just let us know if something feels too strong.
